Explained
Unique301.2
You can't have a second copy on board.
Plating 1802.6
Damage goes to its plating before its hull. The plating comes back in full at the end of every turn, yours and your opponent's; damage to the hull stays.
Salvage: Destroy a Kraken you control802.2f
In your own watch, while this card is in your scrapyard, you may destroy one of your Krakens on board to return it to your hand; a token is gone. Without one, you can't (802.2f).
When The Fathomless comes on board, remove the top X cards of your opponent's hold from the game, where X is the number of Krakens you control.301.10
Not when you deploy it: it happens once it has resolved and is on board, after your opponent's chance to react. Put on board without being deployed, as by Resurface, it happens too. In the sortie phase it goes into the crossfire (301.10). X is counted when it happens, this card included if it is a Kraken. The cards go from the top of their hold straight out of the game, face up. It isn't a dig: nothing that counts digs sees it, and an empty hold loses nothing (403.5).
